This is a chord melody arrangement of Dizzy Gillespie's "A Night in Tunisia." It works as a self contained piece or may be played with a bassist.

Here are some ways to add interest to an alternating bass. The concept explored is the use of connective bass lines, or "walk ups," to connect chord tones (bass notes) across measures. This is a typical technique in folk, country, bluegrass, blues, and rock.

This is based on a rendition of James Alley Blues by Roger McGuinn. It makes use of a very nice riff to fill in the harmony as well as some variations on standard shuffle blues patterns.

This is a systematic approach to the development of four-part (jazz) chord voicings on the guitar. Acquisition of these concepts is a long-term process. This is best used as a textbook and reference until familiar with the concepts.
